Global Youth Day: Making a Difference in Our Community
Date: March 16, 2024
Dear Youth of Boundary Road,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and filled with excitement! On Global Youth Day, our Adventist Youth Ministry took an active role in making a positive impact. Although the official date was March 16, we decided to celebrate it on Sunday, the 17th, with a special event: the Cleanathon.
Cleanathon: A Safer and Cleaner Environment
Purpose:
The primary goal of the Cleanathon was to promote a safer and cleaner environment within our beloved Boundary Road Suburb. We believe that by taking care of our surroundings, we contribute to the well-being of our community.
Enthusiasm and Eagerness:
Our youth members participated with enthusiasm and eagerness. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and a strong sense of purpose, they hit the streets, parks, and public spaces. Their mission? To pick up litter, remove debris, and beautify our neighborhood.
Highlights:
Here are some highlights from the Cleanathon:
Teamwork: Youth worked together in teams, laughing, chatting, and bonding as they collected trash. It was heartwarming to see their camaraderie.
Positive Impact: By the end of the day, our youth had collected several bags of trash. Their efforts made a visible difference, leaving our streets cleaner and more inviting.
Community Connection: As they interacted with passersby, our youth shared the purpose behind the Cleanathon. Many residents expressed gratitude and joined in, making it a true community effort.
Thank You:
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the youth who participated. Your commitment to service and community upliftment is commendable. Let’s continue to be stewards of our environment, ensuring that Boundary Road remains a place we can all be proud of. Thankyou also to world church Youth Ministry department for this phenomenal program.
